For Hands on Manila, 2016 is a special year as it marks our 15th anniversary. In the past 15 years, HOM has grown to over 21,000 volunteers who custom essay editing and proofreading service have participated in 1000 projects. We work with close to 76 non-governmental organizations. Our programs are aligned with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals specifically in the areas of youth and education, livelihood, climate change, health and wellness.

Last September 24, 2016, we also celebrated Servathon’s 11th anniversary with the theme, “Celebrating the Volunteer in You”. This is a testament to your commitment to the advocacy of volunteerism, and your determination to make a difference in other people’s lives.

Since 2005, Servathon has gathered a total of 10,120 volunteers from 90 companies. 60,720 volunteer hours have been rendered to benefit 58,000 children, 2000 elderly, 14 public schools, 62 orphanages, 3 coastal and mangrove areas and 76 non-governmental organizations.

“Little by little, a little becomes a lot.” That’s what a Tanzanian proverb says.

I could not agree more. And this is what Hands on Manila aims to achieve.

I would like to thank and acknowledge the Co-Chairs of Servathon 2016 event, Lizette Cojuangco and Patrice Tan and our other board members Reggie Puno, Pilar Martinez Miranda, Alice Cruz, Gina Aboitiz, Russ Alfonso and Nicole Fandiño.

To our indefatigable staff at the office – Dondon Marquez, ND, Perrey, Nancy, Mara, Jade, Lance and Kevin and our ever-loyal team of volunteer leader Sherpas, maraming salamat.
