COVID-19 SUSTAINABLE FOOD SECURITY
In times of Covid-19, food insecurity in the Philippines continues to arise and is expected to negatively impact some of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which are the following: SDG 1 (poverty), SDG 2 (hunger) and SDG 3 (health and well-being).
Consumers lose access to nutritional food. Therefore, Hands on Manila, through its annual flagship program called Servathon, will give an avenue for the volunteers from corporations and communities to implement sustainable food security.
Given the safety regulations against Covid-19, volunteers can participate virtually. The culmination will be held through a web conference.
